How are you feeling, #NoteddTribe? We are excited to wrap up this year, with today being our final issue for 2022. Before we continue our celebration theme, I want to acknowledge and check in on how you are feeling.
The news about tv personality, producer, and choreographer Stephen "Twitch" Boss was a huge shock to me and a reminder to check in with ourselves and each other more often.
As you have seen in this newsletter multiple times, the feelings wheel is essential to me. I use it to help define how I'm presently feeling when I wake up in the morning, when I'm journaling, and as a way to replace "good" when asked how I'm doing. I came across one of my mentors in my head IG post (see below), sharing this heartfelt message to those who are seeing behavior changes in their loved ones and how to best help them and you.
Bozoma Saint John shares that we should be aware that we don't bear the responsibility of "saving" anyone, but the information we have can help. Let's check on your 'strong' friends more often, but John also suggests checking on friends whose suffering you can see and who aren't weak. She most importantly says that if you know something is going on, you can also seek help to learn how best to help your loved one. We don't always know what's going on with one another, but I want to do more where I can for my loved ones and this community.
Again, how are you feeling? Please feel free to respond to this email with your thoughts. I'd love to hear from you!
These next few weeks are about rest and spending time with loved ones. Thus, we're taking a hiatus from this newsletter and will join you all again in mid-January. Thank you so much for making this year a special one!
Happy Holidays! Until next year and as always, #StayNotedd.

Special Announcement ☺️We're passionate about amplifying Black women's voices through authentic storytelling. We do so here in this newsletter and through our other channels, but we hope to try something new in the new year. It's been a goal of ours to launch a podcast, and we want you to join us on the journey of launching one in 2023. Here's the idea behind the podcast: Oprah Super Soul Sunday style. We'll chat with Black women about their personal and professional journeys and how this connects with their life's purpose. We'll be speaking with those who work in various roles in Corporate America and entrepreneurship, those who work for or started their non-profit organizations, etc., and the Black women journalists writing these articles about the women we're highlighting. The goal is to amplify the woman in front of and behind these articles. What do you think? Feel free to respond to this email and share your thoughts! Next Up: We'll share some name ideas we've been exploring. We'd love to see which one resonates with you the most! |

In our #StayJournaledd newsletter, a monthly newsletter filled with prompts to help kick start your journaling journey or spice up your routine (respond to this email if you're interested in signing up), we asked: what would 2021 you be proud of today? Often it takes work to think and recap what we've done. Three hundred sixty-five days is a lot to account for, especially if you're like us, who can barely remember what happened the day before, but what about writing things we want to accomplish in the future?
We came across this tool where you can write and send a letter to your future self. How cool! When you have some downtime, write what your heart desires - goals, affirmations, or even just a reflection of what it's been like for you this year - and schedule it for yourself around the same time next year. We're excited to see what we all write next year!

Respond to this email if you're an interested business owner or have recommendations for us to contact. For our business owner interests, we'll follow up with a quick intake survey for you to complete and share more about your 2023 business priorities and goals.
